So I get a text message early in the morning asking if I could make a cake for DJ Houseshoes that night at Little Temple. I had the day off and decided SURE, I’d love to! Instantly thoughts of carving cake into the shape of some house shoes came to mind. I got to the point where I was imagining piping on frosting to look like courderoy when the homie Byze started telling me about Houseshoes obsession with Newport cigarettes. Thats brilliant, a Newport Cake!
I set out to the store to buy all the necessary supplies. I had never made a cake using fondant before and I didnt have time to fuck up! I had exactly enough time to make one cake, right; and deliver it to the Little Temple by Midnight. I didn’t even have time to curl my hair or get dressed up. I literally made the cake right up until we walked the door and then I had to drive like a madwoman to get it to LA in time. Here are some pics of what ensued.

A few weeks ago my friends and I were itchin to get out of town. One of the girls found a campground in San Diego that had a pool, a jacuzzi and supposedly… it was “right near the beach”. We packed up 4 cars deep and rolled down to the Chula Vista KOA (Kampgrounds of America).
We arrived happy as shit, only to discover that the Chula Vista KOA was like the Motel 6 of campgrounds. They mainly cater to families with RVs and only had 4 tent sites… we took two of them. The campsites looked like an afterthought. They were on the side of the road even before the main office. The craziest part is that we were setting up our tents right along the fence next to the FREEWAY. To make matters worse, the only decent beach was a 30 minute drive away… Oh Well, all we could do was laugh!
There were 10 of us on this trip. The part about this camping mission that made it “gourmet” was our meals. I took the chance to break in the Camping Oven I got for my birthday. Here is the unruley bunch
(left to right in the back row: AC, Toya, Tiffatty, Yassi, Omer, Junebugg & Junko. left to right in the front row: C-Minus, Ani & Rocio. Dogs left to right: Ruby & Olivia)
Here are some things we saw, ate & did
Of course we needed some adult beverages to keep us warm at night, so we chose these as our poison…
See the freeway in the background? I wasn’t lying… we were right up under that bitch!
This was our janky ass fire pit, it looked like it was gonna fall over at any moment.
The next morning we actually went to the dog beach so Olivia & Ruby could play. There was no sun for us to enjoy but we all had fun BSing. After the Dog Beach, we went to Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach to wander around. The sun finally came out and we really enjoyed exploring our surroundings.

Spring Has Sprung! My girlfriends and I took a wonderful walk on the beach the other day…
I went to visit my dear friend Droop and met his friend, a hip hop plumber. Well what I mean is that he is a plumber AND an MC. To top it all off, he is an amazing artist as you can see in the album artwork he did…
I follow @JetBlueCheeps on twitter and from time to time they have some great deals. I got an earrrllly morning phone call from my friend Dinah and answered only because I knew it had to be important. It was! She found a deal to get $9 flights from Long Beach airport to Oakland and back again. A round trip plane trip to the Bay for only $18? We had to take it! The stipulation was that we had to leave the following Tuesday and come back just 24 hours later. Why not! Here are some pics from my little trip with Dinah and Yassi. Thanks to our gracious host Ras Ceylon for the company and accommodations at the Carters.
The best part? I slept the whole plane ride home but apparently my TV didnt work so Jet Blue gave me a $15 credit. The whole round trip only cost me $3!!!
