The Mighty Junebugg – a June of all Trades

On this day we celebrated the life and legacy of Isaac Canales aka Dread I in a beautiful ceremony at Recreation Park in Long Beach. Immediately following the ceremony, the stage was opened up for all the musicians who played with Isaac and the people who loved him. A marathon 5 hour jam session ensued and it was decided that once a year around this time we will have the Dread I Reggae Jam Festival in his honor. Next year the 2nd annual festival will fall on Sunday, June 13th at Recreation Park. Here are some photos of the beautiful day in memory of a wonderful musician, son, brother, uncle, friend and soul.
